Music Industry Jobs (musicindustryjobs.co.uk) is a job board connecting employers and candidates across the music industry. This policy explains what personal data we collect from candidates, employers and site visitors, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. If you have any questions, please get in touch via our Contact Us page.

Account Registration & Profile Data

When you register as a candidate or employer, we collect the information you provide in your registration and profile forms, which may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, and other profile details. You can view, edit, or delete your own profile information at any time from your account dashboard, or request deletion via our Delete Profile page.

CVs, Resumes & Job Applications

Candidates may upload a CV or resume and apply to job listings through the site. This data is stored so employers can review applications, and is only visible according to the visibility settings of the job board (for example, limited to registered employers or to the employer who received the application). Please avoid including sensitive information you wouldn’t want shared — for example, avoid uploading a photo with embedded location data.

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies for core site functionality (such as keeping you logged in) and, where you consent, for analytics. A cookie consent banner lets you choose which categories of cookies to allow; non-essential tracking (such as Google Analytics) does not run until you give consent. You can change your cookie choices at any time using the consent settings link in our site footer, or see our Cookie Policy page for a full list of cookies used.

Payments

If you purchase a paid job listing package as an employer, payment is processed via our WooCommerce-based checkout. We do not store your full card details ourselves — these are handled directly by our payment processor in line with their own privacy and security policies.

Who We Share Your Data With

We share limited personal data with the following third parties, only as needed to run the site:

  • CleanTalk — anti-spam protection. Visitor IP address and submitted form data may be checked against CleanTalk’s spam-detection service to block bots and spam registrations.
  • Brevo — used to send account, application, and notification emails.
  • Our payment provider — to process employer package payments.
  • Google Analytics — only after you consent via our cookie banner.
  • Our hosting provider — stores the site’s data on our behalf.

How Long We Retain Your Data

We keep account and application data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Delete Profile page, or by contacting us directly. Some data may be retained for a limited period where we have a legal or administrative reason to do so (for example, payment records for tax purposes).

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to request that it be corrected or erased. You can do this yourself for most account and profile data via your account dashboard or the Delete Profile page, or by contacting us directly. We will respond to any request within the timeframes required by data protection law.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Personal data may be processed by the third-party services listed above, some of which may store or process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, those providers are responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place under their own privacy policies.
